The pre-delivery inspection (PDI) is an inspection completed by our manufacturer-trained technicians in Gibraltar. This is essential in validating the warranty cover for your vehicle. Additionally, we will check for and carry out any outstanding Service Action Campaigns and/or Recalls prior to releasing the vehicle(s) for onwards delivery to the final destination. These thorough checks and inspections help to ensure that they are operating as they should, prior to validating the warranty.

A full Marine Insurance Policy Cover service is offered as well as an On-Road Policy Cover by our contracted transporters, providing cover for your vehicle(s) whilst in transit - from origin to destination worldwide. The Marine Policy is held with Chaucer Syndicates Limited on behalf of their Lloyd’s Syndicate 1084 and China Re, a leading reinsurer in China, and one of the top 10 reinsurance companies in the world. For further information please refer to our Marine Insurance section under Customer Service.

Once your vehicle arrives at destination, is customs-cleared and registered, our proactive cooperation with the Jaguar Land Rover in-country partner will ensure that they contact you directly to arrange a vehicle health check and customer handover. This second technical check coupled with a thorough and informative handover will ensure that the vehicle performs as it was designed to.

Jaguar Land Rover’s standard manufacturer’s warranty covers 36 months or 100,000km, whichever is the sooner.

Governments can implement PSI programmes to ensure that imports comply with their regulations. In some cases, a pre-shipment inspection can be enforced by a country to mitigate Customs Duty evasion and to certify that price of the vehicle reflects its true price. In different parts of the world customers have the common need for a guarantee that ordered components; materials and equipment align with given specifications. Independent third party companies offering PSI services can help to ensure that equipment, components and documentation conform to contractual requirements. Countries requiring such inspections vary as do the companies who carry them out. Please contact our sales team for further advice upon placing your order.

We invoice in Euros (EUR) and expect payment in the same currency via telegraphic transfer.

In order to facilitate trade worldwide, the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) published Incoterms, officially recognised as international commercial terms. Globally known, Incoterms provide clarity in foreign trade by illustrating the responsibilities of the buyer and seller. Some Incoterms apply to any modes of transportation; others apply strictly cross water delivery. Each Incoterm highlights which party is responsible for delivery, insurance and any incurred tariffs/costs.

The Jaguar Land Rover Diplomatic Programme usually delivers to end destination on either a Cost Insurance Freight (CIF/CIP) or Cost & Freight (CFR/CPT) basis. Delivery takes places to the customs terminal at final destination (whether in the European Union or Rest of World). Upon request, other Incoterms can be discussed on a case-by-case basis. Regrettably, however, we are unable to offer DDP (Delivered Duty Paid). Under all these incoterms, customs clearance, vehicle registration and payment of import duties/taxes is generally the responsibility of the consignee.
